The Ministry of Health and Population of Egypt announced the launch of Tour4Cure, a digital medical tourism platform developed in partnership with Fixed Egypt for Digital Solutions and Information Security (FEDIS) and Holool. The initiative is part of efforts to position Egypt as a regional hub for healthcare and wellness tourism, according to the country’s State Information Service.
Tour4Cure will enable patients from abroad to manage their entire treatment journey through a single digital platform – from registration and selecting a healthcare provider to travel arrangements, treatment, accommodation, and post-care follow-up.
Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said the platform has already processed around 250 cases during its pilot phase, achieving a patient satisfaction rate exceeding 90 percent.
The ministry plans to expand the service across African, Gulf, and European markets.
According to Mohamed Afifi, General Manager of FEDIS, the company developed the platform’s digital infrastructure, integrating artificial intelligence and cybersecurity technologies to deliver secure digital services, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the patient experience.
Salah Hatata, Chairman of Holool, said the platform covers healthcare providers across Egypt’s governorates and enables medical facilities to join digitally, supporting the country’s ambition to become a regional and global destination for medical tourism.
