Abu Dhabi-based carrier Etihad Airways has launched a new passenger wellbeing programme – Etihad Wellbeing. The initiative is part of the airline’s efforts to expand its premium travel offering with a stronger focus on sleep, nutrition and relaxation.

It brings together a range of new and existing products and services designed to help passengers maintain healthy routines while travelling and arrive feeling more rested.
The programme spans the entire travel journey – from dedicated quiet spaces and spa treatments at Etihad Lounges in Zayed International Airport to enhanced onboard bedding, premium skincare products, healthier dining options and hydration-focused beverages, the carrier said.
Jyotsna Chowdhry, vice president of product and hospitality at Etihad Airways, said research showed that as people fly more frequently, they are increasingly looking at ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle while they travel.
“Etihad Wellbeing is our commitment to making the flying experience as restorative and restful as possible,” she said.
Chowdhry said whether it’s a quieter onboard environment, premium skincare, improved sleep amenities or content that helps the airline’s guests relax on longer journeys, these are real products and experiences that make a difference during travel.
As part of the programme, Etihad has expanded its onboard dining with protein-rich meals, plant-forward dishes and a wider range of special meals catering to dietary and religious requirements, including lactose-free, gluten-free, low-fat, low-sodium and low-salt options.
In its premium cabins, First Class and The Residence passengers will receive natural cotton bedding, memory foam mattresses and premium sleepwear. , while Business Class customers will find the airline’s recently introduced Destination Collection amenity kits featuring skincare products from Korean beauty brand LANEIGE.
First Class passengers will also receive luxury skincare products from ESPA, together with facial sheet masks and under-eye masks designed to help combat the effects of long-haul travel.
At Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, passengers can also access Be Relax by Etihad Spa, offering skincare treatments, massages and hair services before departure.
The UAE airline said its wellbeing programme will continue to evolve, with additional products and services planned as part of its ongoing investment in enhancing the passenger experience.
