Turkey, Thailand and India occupied the top spots in the Top 50 Medical Tourism Destinations in the World for 2026 announced by Travel and Tour World (TTW). The list recognizes the world’s most trusted, innovative, and patient-focused healthcare travel destinations, TTW said.

The rankings highlight global leaders in healthcare excellence, specialist expertise, advanced medical technology, affordability, and patient-centered recovery experiences, the publication said. Mexico, South Korea, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Singapore and the UAE are among the other top markets for medical tourism globally which figure in the list.
“Growing healthcare costs, longer waiting periods, rising demand for specialist treatment, and improved global connectivity are driving more patients to seek trusted, high-quality medical care across international destinations in 2026,” said Anup Kumar Keshan, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Travel and Tour World.
As healthcare accessibility, treatment affordability, specialist availability, and quality outcomes become increasingly important factors in medical decision-making, a growing number of international patients are exploring destinations that combine advanced healthcare services with seamless travel experiences, modern infrastructure, and supportive recovery environments.
