By Our Staff Writer

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Sanya Tourism Board, People’s Republic of China, announced a tie-up for joint destination promotion. The two have signed a Letter of Intent for this last week, establishing a long-term cooperation framework.

TAT was represented by Mrs. Sirigesanong Trirattanasongpol, TAT Executive Director for the East Asia Region, while the Sanya Tourism Board was represented by Ms. Nan Ma, Deputy Director General, at the signing ceremony.

The Letter of Intent reportedly outlines collaboration across key areas, including the promotion of two-way tourism, joint international marketing and communications, tourism product and route development, and the exchange of key opinion leaders and influencers.

The agreement is part of TAT’s efforts to advancing sustainable growth through two-way tourism, strengthening international partnerships, and supporting deeper people-to-people connections.  Sanya is recognised as one of China’s leading international beach destinations, while Thailand continues to deliver high-quality tourism experiences under the “Amazing Thailand, The Journey Your Heart Leads” concept.
