The New Development Bank (NDB), the multilateral development bank established by the BRICS grouping, and India-based Narayana Hrudayalaya Limited (Narayana Health) announced a knowledge‑sharing partnership.

The partnership envisages the Indian healthcare major supporting NDB and its member countries in strengthening smart hospital service capacity by sharing experience in delivering efficient, technology‑enabled and patient‑centric hospital services.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NDB and Narayana Health was signed by Dilma Rousseff, President of NDB and Dr. Devi Shetty, Founder and Chairman of Narayana Health, on the sidelines of the First BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting held recently in the North Indian city of Jaipur.

The cooperation between the two focus on digital health, data systems, technology transfer and knowledge sharing.

“This MoU is an institutional partnership between NDB and Narayana Health to ensure that excellence, innovation, efficiency, and affordability can, and must, coexist in healthcare,” said Dilma Rousseff, NDB President.

Dr. Devi Shetty, Founder and Chairman, Narayana Health, said: “Through this knowledge sharing collaboration, we look forward to working with NDB and its member countries to support stronger, technology-enabled healthcare systems across emerging economies.”

During her visit to Narayana Health City in Bengaluru in March 2026, Mrs. Dilma Rousseff observed the institution’s innovative approach to providing affordable, high-quality healthcare through patient-focused care and cutting-edge digital technologies.

The New Development Bank is a multilateral development bank established in 2015 by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS), with the purpose of mobilizing resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects in emerging markets and developing countries (EMDCs).
