A first-of-its-kind International Ayurveda and Wellness Conclave was held in the South Indian state of Kerala on February 2-3. The conclave, organised by the Ayurveda Promotion Society (APS) in association with the Kerala Department of Tourism and allied tourism/health organizations, brought together Ayurveda scholars, global wellness experts, policymakers, academics, industry leaders, travel trade professionals and international stakeholders.

The event, held in the northern Kerala district of Kozhikode, was organized as part of the state’s efforts to further strengthen its position as the global hub of Ayurveda and Wellness.
The conclave was meant to serve as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, policy development, B2B networking, and global collaborations, according to an official announcement. It also helped to focus on strengthening Kerala’s standing in medical value travel, wellness retreats, Ayurveda healthcare, and yoga tourism.
Various sessions held at the Conclave included ‘Global market trends in Ayurveda’, ‘Integrating Ayurveda & Yoga into Wellness Tourism’, ‘Research in Ayurveda and International Acceptance’, and ‘Medical Value Travel & Ayurveda’.
A tour for international Ayurveda and Yoga ambassadors and international delegates to visit Ayurveda resorts and wellness retreats, Yoga destinations and Ayurveda hospitals and Ayurveda manufacturing facilities across the state was also part of the event.
